The Vampire Residence, located in Te Aro, Wellington, is the home of the vampires Viago, Vladislav, Deacon, Petyr and eventually Nick.

History[]

Viago, Vladislav, Deacon and Petyr moved into the flat during the 20th century. Nick moved in after Petyr turned him into a vampire. Although the vampires try to share housekeeping responsibilities, Deacon's familiar Jackie was largely responsible for maintaining the house, which often includes cleaning blood. Viago tries to make the most effort to prevent blood stains.

The vampire residents would often pass the time inside the house by performing music and erotic dances, practicing archery and throwing pottery. This changed when Nick's human friend, Stu became a frequent visitor to the house and introduced them to modern technology such as television, computers and mobile phones.

While on a night out, Nick casually revealed his vampire status to a vampire hunter, causing the hunter to break into the basement through the window. The hunter was crushed by Petyr’s sarcophagus door while Petyr caught fire due to the exposed sunlight. The other vampires failed to extinguish the flames and Petyr burned to death. Police officers O’Leary and Minogue arrived to investigate that night, but under Viago’s hypnotism they failed to notice Petyr’s corpse. Nick was subsequently banished from the flat.

When Stu became a werewolf, he joined the Te Aro werewolf pack that turned him, causing the werewolves and Nick to finally be welcomed into the household.
