Madelaine Darbish is the human 30x-great-grandaughter of Nandor. She was 94 years old and did not have any children. She appeared in What We Do in the Shadows (TV series).
Biography[]
When Guillermo sent Nandor’s DNA to be tested, Nandor was excited to discover that he had over 200,000 living descendants since his human life. Upon learning that one of them, Madelaine, was living in Staten Island, he decided to meet her.
One night, he flew up to her window to give her a teddy bear as a gift, despite Guillermo and Colin repeatedly warning him not to. He tapped on her window to wake her up, and upon seeing him, she screamed, collapsed and died. As an ambulance arrived to take her body, Nandor finally experienced grief for the first time, which he didn’t like. He blamed Colin and Guillermo for the incident.
Guillermo delayed Madelaine’s funeral until night time by reporting a bomb scare at the church. This allowed the vampire roommates to attend. Once there, Laszlo and Nadja quickly left after they began to bleed from the eyes and burn due to the religious imagery. Colin also left early to watch TV. Nandor insisted on staying despite catching fire. Guillermo attempted to extinguish the flames, but accidentally threw holy water at him, making the fire worse. Nandor excused himself from the funeral.
