Ludwig was a vampire who served as a guard for the Vampiric Council. He appears in What We Do in the Shadows (TV series).
Biography[]
After the death of Baron Afanas, the vampires Laszlo, Nadja and Nandor were summoned to the Vampiric Council to be placed on trial.
The vampires arrived at the Temple of Blood-Devourers, where the floating woman guided them through the tunnels to the Council while Ludwig stared into space, failing to help. The vampire roommates were eventually found guilty and were led to a well to be sentenced to death by exposure to sunlight. The three tried to escape on the way but were apprehended by Ludwig. Meanwhile, Nandor's familiar Guillermo tried to escape and was blocked by Ludwig on the way. Guillermo scared him off using his crucifix, causing Ludwig to stumble backwards and impale himself onto an LED light holder that Guillermo accidentally broke.[1] As he had already killed Afanas the night before, Guillermo was horrified to have accidentally taken the life of another vampire.[2]
The Council incorrectly blamed Ludwig's death on the Staten Island vampires, including their roommate Colin Robinson. The vampires were invited to a performance of Nouveau Théâtre des Vampires as a trap to execute them. Ludwig's supposed murder was re-enacted on stage and the execution was foiled when Guillermo intervened and started killing the vampires attending.[3]
