Katherine Heimburg is a 96 year-old vampire and girlfriend of Viago. She appears in What We Do in the Shadows (film).

Katherine is originally from Europe. During her human life as a young woman, the vampire Viago fell in love with her. She moved to New Zealand with her family, leaving Viago with only a locket with her picture in it. He couldn’t wear it as it was made from silver. Viago had his familiar, Phillip, transport him to New Zealand in a shipping crate. Phillip got the address wrong and Viago’s arrival was delayed by eighteen months. By the time he arrived, she had found a new love and got married.
At the time of the documentary filming, Katherine was a 96 year-old widow living in the Rita Angus Retirement Village and Viago still longed for her. Eventually, he found the courage to float into her window to greet her and she recognised him immediately. He turned her into a vampire so they could be together forever, and she embraced the vampire lifestyle, with Viago taking her surname. Viago admitted that he was aware there was an age gap (he was almost four times older than her), but said he didn't care about people judging him for it.
