Jackie is a vampire and former familiar. She appeared in What We Do in the Shadows (film).
Biography[]
Jackie served as Deacon’s human familiar for four and a half years. Her main duty was to maintain his flat, which included cleaning up after the victims and taking the vampires’ clothes to the laundrette. One night, Deacon requested that she bring some human victims to his flat. Not wanting to bring people she was attached to, she brought over her ex-boyfriend Nick (because she assumed he was still a virgin), and Josephine, a woman who had previously bullied her. As Jackie made an early exit, Josephine was eaten by Viago while Nick was turned into a vampire by Petyr.
Deacon used Nick's turning as an excuse to not turn Jackie. She grew increasingly frustrated with having to do so much housework and Deacon’s reluctance to turn her into a vampire. She later however appeared at the Unholy Masquerade, having been turned into a vampire by Nick, much to Deacon’s annoyance. It was later revealed that Jackie had her husband, Terry, serve as her familiar.
