"Go Flip Yourself" is the eighth episode of the fourth season of What We Do in the Shadows. It aired on August 23, 2022.
Synopsis[]
The mansion gets a makeover.
Plot Summary[]
Bran and Toby Daltry from Go Flip Yourself show up unannounced to the Vampire Residence and surprise Laszlo and Nadja at their door. Nadja immediately kills Toby, but hypnotizes the crew to believe that he has fallen ill.
Bran shows off his digital mock-up of the renovations for the mansion, proposing features that are useless for vampires, such as a golden toilet and large windows for plenty of natural light, as well as removing Nadja and Laszlo's coffins in favor of a large walk-in closet. Despite this, the vampires agree to the renovations, while Guillermo fakes a call from the City Building Inspector's office which necessitates reallocating funds from other features into making his bedroom livable.
Marwa, as a result of the wish that Nandor had made for her to like everything that he likes, builds and eventually takes over his "man cave" in the attic, and after showing Bran and Nandor around, locks the door from the inside.
Once the team has finished with the renovations on the house, Bran takes everyone inside to reveal that almost nothing has been repaired or renovated aside from Nadja and Laszlo's room, which is now a walk-in closet. While admiring their new space, Laszlo notices that his witch skin hat has gone missing, and Bran reveals himself to be Simon the Devious previously thought dead. He escapes with his crew, taking the hat with him. In a preview for the next episode of Go Flip Yourself, Simon turns the stove on only for the entire house to explode.
