Garrett is a vampire. He appears in What We Do in the Shadows (TV series).
Biography[]
Around the year 1932, Laszlo turned a baby into a vampire out of boredom and left it with an acquaintance in the Bronx. Laszlo got away with this crime and Garrett was found guilty of doing so instead by the Vampiric Council. As punishment, Garrett was imprisoned in the Temple of Blood-Devourers, sharing a room with another vampire prisoner, Vasilika the Defiler.
In 2019, Laszlo, Nadja and Nandor were summoned to the temple to be tried for the murder of Baron Afanas. They were led to a room where Garrett and Vasilika listened to their testimony. Garrett expressed sympathy for them and said he believed they were innocent, leaving the vampires disappointed when they realised the prisoners weren’t the Council. Garrett was shocked when the roommates told them what year it was as he thought he had been imprisoned for a thousand years. Unaware that Laszlo was the culprit, Garrett revealed the reason for his punishment and expressed a desire to torture the real criminal, leaving Laszlo very nervous. The vampires were then seen by the Vampiric Council, who found them guilty of premeditated vampicide and sentenced them to death.[1]
Behind the scenes[]
- Garrett's unique vampire features resemble the facial prosthesis used for vampires in the Buffy the Vampire Slayer TV series.
