Gargoyles are supernatural beings that resemble statues.

Characteristics[]

Gargoyles appear to be made of stone and have beast-like features including horns, wings and sharp teeth. They reside on building exteriors and spend most of their time completely still, leading humans to believe they are merely statues. Gargoyles are capable of human speech but will communicate with each other over long distances by making honking noises that resemble truck horns. All these traits make them excellent watchmen for vampires, and thus the Vampiric Council rely on gargoyles to look out for trouble in urban areas.

History[]

In 2021, Goëjlrm escaped from his chamber in the Temple of Blood-Devourers in Staten Island. Nadja and the Guide consulted two members of their team of gargoyles, known as the Watchers, to ask if they had any information. Although the gargoyles were more interested in gossiping, they communicated amongst each other and helped the Council track Goëjlrm down in Ozone Park, Queens.[1]
