Captain Quinn is a member of the Wellington Police Maritime Unit. He appears in Wellington Paranormal.
Biography[]
Prior to the events of Wellington Paranormal in 2019, Captain Quinn lost his arm in an incident involving an InSinkErator.
In 2019, the Paranormal Unit went to Wellington Harbour to investigate the disappearances of ten anglers alongside reports of unusual seismic activity. An accompanying Constable Parker was asked to camp on the beach while the unit met Quinn and boarded his boat to head out to the water. That night, Sergeant Maaka told the crew a traditional story of Ngake and Whātaitai, two taniwha brothers who lived in the harbour. A huge object suddenly appeared on the sonar, and the crew were too distracted by this to notice the huge taniwha briefly peering through the boat window. Realising the object was heading towards Parker’s encampment, they drove back to the shore, only to find his tent empty and the camera crew filming him missing.
The Paranormal Unit went on to find the missing anglers alive and trapped in a cave, and later found Parker on Oriental Bay, where Quinn alerted them to two taniwha sightings. The taniwha turned out to be a mating couple. [1]
