Bazu'aal is a demon who has possessed a number of people around Wellington. It claims to originate from the "Unholy Realm".

Biography[]

In 1885, Bazu'aal possessed a woman in Wellington, performing a human sacrifice, and was subsequently arrested by police.[1]

On 17 November 1951, Bazu'aal possessed a man, spewing gallons of sulfuric acid and performing another human sacrifice, before again being arrested.[1]

Some decades later, Bazu'aal again possessed a girl, spewing acid all over the street. She was brought in by Officers O'Leary and Minogue, and interrogated, but before she could be interrogated by Sergeant Ruawai Maaka, Bazu'aal disappeared, suddenly reappearing and escaping. Returning back to the girl's home, Bazu'aal began possessing her father, Gary, climbing on to the roof. Bazu'aal claimed to recognize the two police officers, but they didn't realise the man was possessed. Leaving the premises as they believed there to be no problem, Bazu'aal began possessing Gary's wife, running into the night. She caught up with their car when they were going 50km/h, easily escaping them. Minogue caught up, but Bazu'aal had possessed a dog, taunting the police officer. He ran into the middle of town, sleeping alongside a tramp on Cuba Street. When a group of police officers, including Minogue and O'Leary, recognised the dog, the demon switched to the tramp, who got a hold of Minogue and attempted to use him as a human sacrifice. However, they seemingly exorcised the tramp, only for Bazu'aal to possess Officer Parker momentarily, unbeknownst to them.[1]
